Hebrews 12:2

Looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith. Not looking at your performance. Not at your failure. At Jesus. He started it, he completes it. Faith is not your project, it is his.

Where you look determines your direction. If you look at your problems, they grow larger. If you look at your performance, the pressure increases. If you look at Jesus, rest comes, because he is the one who carries.

Rest is not a sign of laziness. It is a sign of trust. Whoever looks at the perfecter does not need to perfect everything themselves.

Truth: Jesus is the founder and perfecter of your faith. He started it, he brings it to completion. Your job is: Look. Trust him. Take the next step.

Today practically: When thoughts tire you out, direct your gaze consciously toward Jesus. Not at the burden, not at the list, at him. Then walk on in peace.
