Ephesians 3:17-19
Rooted in Love
Verse
That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, and that you, being rooted and grounded in love.
Thought
That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, and that you, being rooted and grounded in love. Paul prays this for the Ephesians, and for you. Rooted in love. Not in performance, not in rules, not in fear.
A tree with deep roots will not be toppled by the storm. That is exactly how it is when you are anchored in God's love. You do not become untouchable, but you become firm. Love in the New Covenant is your foundation, not your goal.
Today you can anchor yourself in this love and live from it.
Truth & Application
Truth: You are rooted in God's love. That is your foundation, not something you must first achieve. Like a tree with deep roots you can withstand storms because your ground is firm.
Today practically: Take a moment today and say: "I am grounded in love." Let that sink in before you go into your day.
Question for you: What would change if you truly lived from love rather than duty today?
Prayer
Father, thank you that your love is my foundation. Thank you that Christ dwells in my heart. Today I consciously anchor myself in your love. I release duty thinking and insecurity. Holy Spirit, ground me deeper in the Father's love. Amen.
