2 Corinthians 5:14

Love Compels

Verse

For Christs love compels us.

Thought

For Christs love compels us. Not duty, not fear, not guilt, love. Paul describes the driving force of his life: The love Christ showed on the cross moves him from within.

In the New Covenant love is the motor. It compels, not like pressure but like a current. When you understand how much you are loved, it moves you. Naturally. Without force.

Today you can let yourself be moved by Christs love.

Truth & Application

Truth: Christs love is the driving force of your life, not duty, not fear, not guilt. When you grasp how loved you are, you are moved. Not through pressure but through love.

Today practically: Let yourself be motivated by love today, not by duty. Ask with each decision: Does this come from love or from fear?

Question for you: What would you do today if love were your only motivation?

Prayer

Father, thank you that Christs love compels me. Not duty, not fear, love. Today I let myself be moved by your love. I release duty thinking and religious pressure. Holy Spirit, let me feel Christs love today. Amen.
