This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us.

Truth: Love begins with God, not with you. You did not love him first, he loved you. First. Without conditions. Your love is always just a response to his.

Father, thank you for loving me first. I did not start this, you did. Today I respond to your love. I release performance-based love. Amen.
