The first snow is in biblical thinking often connected with purity. Psalm 51:7: "Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow." In the Hebrew original: al'binu (אַלְבִּינוּ), "make me white".
Mike's track connects the image of falling snow with the cleansing reality. When snow falls, the world becomes different. Sounds are muffled. Contours blurred. A new stillness lays itself over the landscape.
Isaiah 1:18: "Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow." Snow as image of God-wrought cleansing. Mike's track is musical application of this image.
Whoever hears the track in a phase where forgiveness need exists is accompanied. The sound carries the cleansing movement: gentle, falling, gracious. Mike's sound carries this purity reality.
