The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Paul is not describing what you should produce. He is describing what the Spirit brings forth in you.
In the New Covenant, this fruit is not a goal you reach through discipline. It is the natural result of Christ living in you. When you worry whether you have enough patience or kindness, you shift the focus from him to you.
Clarity comes when you stop forcing fruit and start recognizing the source. The Spirit works. You may give him room.
