But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession. Peter describes not a religious elite but everyone who is in Christ. You are chosen, royal, holy, and that shapes how you live.

In the New Covenant you need no human mediator between you and God. You are a priest yourself, with direct access. God's Spirit in you is your guidance, not an institution.

Truth & Application

Truth: 1 Peter 2:9 says you are a royal priesthood. This means you need no mediator other than Christ. Your access is direct, your guidance comes through the Spirit in you, not through religious hierarchy.

Today practical: When you are unsure today, go directly to the Father. You are a priest, you need no permission from people to talk to God.

Question for you: Where are you waiting for permission from people when you have direct access as a royal priest?

Prayer

Father, thank You that I am a royal priesthood. Thank You that I have direct access to You, no mediator, no hierarchy. Today I embrace this calling. I release religious dependence on people. Holy Spirit, lead me today as the priest I am in Christ. Amen.
