Philippians 4:19

Rest and Trust

Verse

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.

Thought

My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Paul writes this from prison. Not from abundance but from experience. God's provision does not come according to your merit but according to his riches.

In the New Covenant, provision is not your struggle but his promise. That does not mean you do nothing. It means the source stands firm even when the path is unclear.

Rest arises when you know: the source is inexhaustible. Not because you have enough but because he is enough.

Truth & Application

Truth: God's provision is measured by his riches in Christ, not by your merit or lack. The source stands firm. You may act from trust, not from worry.

Practical today: Name a specific lack. Hand it to God and say: Your riches are greater than my lack. Then take your next step.

Question for you: Where are you measuring God's provision by your lack instead of his riches?

Prayer

Father, thank you for filling my lack according to your riches. Not according to my merit but according to your glory in Christ. Today I trust your provision. I release worry and the need to control. Holy Spirit, thank you for rest and the next clear step. Amen.
