1 Peter 1:3
Rest and Trust
Verse
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope.
Thought
Blessed be God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to his great mercy has caused us to be born again to a living hope. Peter begins with praise because the reason for praise stands firm: rebirth has happened. Hope is alive.
In the New Covenant, hope is not uncertain. It is alive because it is based on resurrection. Rest comes when you know: my hope is not wishful thinking, it lives.
Today: praise God not from duty but because rebirth and living hope are reality.
Truth & Application
Truth: You are born again to a living hope. Not a vague one. A living one. This hope is based on resurrection and cannot be disappointed.
Practical today: Speak praise today consciously. Not as ritual but as a response to what God has done: rebirth and living hope.
Question for you: Where do you treat hope as uncertain even though it is alive?
Prayer
Blessed be you, Father, for the rebirth to living hope. Thank you that my hope is not vague but alive. Today I rest in this certainty. I release hopelessness and doubt. Holy Spirit, let the hope in me be alive today. Amen.
