Ephesians 2:14
He Is Our Peace
Verse
For he himself is our peace.
Thought
For he is our peace. Paul does not say: He gives you peace when you do enough. He says: He IS our peace. Christ himself is the peace, not a state you must produce.
The dividing wall between God and you is torn down. The hostility ended. Not through your performance but through his sacrifice. You are more reconciled than you feel.
Today you can know: The peace between you and God is a person, Jesus Christ.
Truth & Application
Truth: Christ is not just a peacemaker, he IS your peace. The dividing wall is gone. You stand in reconciliation that does not depend on your behavior but on the finished work of Christ.
Today practically: When unrest rises, remember: Christ is my peace. I do not have to produce it, I can rest in him.
Question for you: Where are you trying to create peace instead of receiving it in Christ?
Prayer
Father, thank you that Jesus is my peace. Not something I must produce but someone in whom I rest. Today I receive this peace. I release inner war and self-condemnation. Holy Spirit, lead me into the peace that is Christ himself. Amen.
