Thoughts within the New Covenant
Made alive and all sins forgiven. Paul describes here the switch from death to life. You were dead in sins, not sick, not weak, but dead. And God made you alive. Together with Christ.
In doing so, he forgave all sins. Not some, not the small ones, all. This is the New Covenant: complete forgiveness through a one-time sacrifice. You no longer live in the guilt system. You live in the system of grace.
Today: You are alive and forgiven. Both stand firm.
Truth & Application
Truth: God made you alive with Christ and forgave all sins. All. Without exception. Your old life is replaced; your new life stands firm in Christ.
Today practically: When old guilt surfaces, remember: All sins forgiven. Not some. All.
Question for you: What past guilt are you still holding on to that God has already let go of?
Prayer
Father, thank you for making me alive with Christ. Thank you for the complete forgiveness of all sins. Today I accept that and let go of old guilt. Holy Spirit, remind me of the completeness of forgiveness. Amen.
